Christian News, under its newer leadership, has steadily shown itself to hold decidedly un-Christian views. This was clear earlier this year from its utter condemnation of the critics of Pope Harrison’s Teufelskatechismus. And now it has been made even more apparent with its recent comments on race.
In a recent issue of Christian News (Nov. 6, 2023, p. 12), the editor made the following comment (all emphasis is mine) on an article from the Washington Post which asserts that race does not exist and which wishes to instill in Americans “a more egalitarian frame”: “In a world where race is meant to be everything, it is also just a man-made construct. It is also dehumanizing, because every individual is made uniquely by God in His image. Crass group classification overwhelms the real person, who is judged by God on His own — not by some wide human identification. Of course, race-monger gain power, through guilt, to wield by making much of race. But this will not magnify Christ who comes to us personally in the Word. The Father declares us righteous for the sake of the Son individually, by faith. ‘But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbor. For each will have to bear his own load’ (Gal. 6:4–5).”
Now, these final statements are pious sounding enough. The editor even quotes Scripture! And we all know that all those who quote Scripture speak the truth. Therefore, the editor speaks just as truthfully as Satan did when he tempted Christ! — But speaking seriously, a Christian must, even in these matters, condemn all such lies, for these have their origin in the devil, John 8. And the men who run the Stone Choir podcast have done some excellent episodes on this topic. I direct the reader to them.
So Christian News now asserts that the editors of Lehre und Wehre all sinned grievously when they reprinted without criticism the following words of Ed. Morel, which were “doubtless based on strong and undeniable facts”: “I have received convincing evidence that the French militarists are guilty of abominable crimes against womanhood, the White race, and civilization. …. Reports are coming from Mainz, Wiesbaden, and Ludwigshafen that the municipal councils have to provide ever greater opportunities for the Black troops to ‘amuse’ themselves. …. Many women have committed suicide after being criminally assaulted by Negroes. Not yet satisfied with having employed hundreds of thousands of primitive African barbarians in this war, they are henceforth sending these hordes throughout Europe. …. These hordes are a terrible incarnation of the barbaric policy of the so-called peace treaty, which tries to push the clock back 2000 years. …. Those responsible for the transplantation of Black barbarism into European communities knew that these consequences were inevitable. New elevations are made in tribes which are in the most primitive stage of development. …. I insist that this Black rape is a part of the policy laid out nakedly and brazenly in the peace treaty to ruin a whole people, to bind them in shackles of slaves, to degrade them, to tear them apart, and to drive them to the uttermost degree of desperation and humiliation.”
I am sure that the editor, the corrupter of the sainted Pastor Otten’s paper, will be happy to accept this necessary consequence, which must follow from his in every respect worthless lies.
