The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, gave a statement on the Church of Uganda after it supported the nation’s sodomy laws. Of this statement, the following is especially worth noting:

Within the Anglican Communion we continue to disagree over matters of sexuality, but in our commitment to God-given human dignity we must be united. I have reminded Archbishop Kaziimba that Anglicans around the world have long been united in our opposition to the criminalisation of homosexuality and LGBTQ people. Supporting such legislation is a fundamental departure from our commitment to uphold the freedom and dignity of all people. There is no justification for any province of the Anglican Communion to support such laws: not in our resolutions, not in our teachings, and not in the Gospel we share.

By this the pseudo-bishop has decided to grace the world with the new gospel of his sect. The central tenants of this gospel are, in no particular order,

  • That agreement in faith and morals shall not be the basis of any kind of union;
  • That Romans 13 was simply a wild fever dream of the Holy Spirit, whom Welby has so graciously corrected; and
  • That God (Welby knows him as the Demiurge) was unjust in creating the Law of Moses, which certainly did not “uphold the freedom and dignity of all people” which enables them to sin against their Master.

Truly, with this very forthcoming statement the Archbishop of Canterbury has shown himself to be much, much holier than the Demiurge worshiped by those wicked Christians. Therefore, this statement must surely be a great consolation to all members of the Anglican Communion, sure to bring about an era of peace and happiness, which is the 1000-year reign of Welby.
